Strength is the Roman Numeral VIII or number 8. Eight represents continuation and repetition of cycles, turned on its side it is the symbol for infinity. Strength kneels in a landscape that evokes the fertility and new cycle of spring. The blossoming tree spirit in the back ground, promises future rewards as it reaches out its branches protecting her from the sun’s rays. She is pregnant with possibilities and content in herself and her place in the world. Wearing metal arm bands bearing the runes of wholeness, Sowelu, and strength Uruz, she lovingly pats the lion’s head (her ego or lower self). She has tamed her ego’s animal nature through compassion and love for herself, her struggle with her ego self is over. The ivy around the portal shows the trust she has in her own ability to grow. She shares the pear in her hand, which represents her sense of hope for the future.
