Description

The Lovers are Roman Numeral VI or number 6 which represents nurturing, caring, and harmony, the need for stability and the ability to compromise. The roots and branches entwine two lovers, in the form of tree spirits, depicting the coming together and mutual growth of many years. Though each has a different point of view, they both look up and reach toward the heavens. They are connected to each other and with the divine at the same time. The tangled roots, reaching deep into the earth, illustrate their long time commitment to each other and the stability it offers. In the background, an Earth Deva rests, her male counterpart is reflected in the water, and they too have been together a very long time. The Lovers’ relationship leads them to wholeness because they understand that true partnership can only be maintained by those who, while being together, still retain their separateness.
