Acrylic and metal leaf on canvas 24×36  From the Still Standing series. This painting was inspired by my travels around the Kamloops area. I am attracted to the barren trees that have stood the test of time, weathered all kinds of storms and winds and are still standing. They offer a perch to birds of prey to capture watch for movement below. This painting is textured with acrylic gel, creating a 3D effect and highlighted with iridescent paints and metal leaf, creating a unique work that changes in the light.  Its size makes it a perfect painting for a feature wall.
